Career Technical Education (CTE) Foundation is awarding $50,000 in scholarship funding this summer to 10 graduates of the pilot “Sonoma Corps” program, a work readiness program including a “gap year” internship following high school and is designed to improve student outcomes in postsecondary education, develop employer-valued skills and aptitudes that contribute to career success, and create a skilled workforce pipeline for the industries that drive our local economy.
Sonoma Corps graduates who successfully completed the program are receiving $5,000 scholarships towards post-secondary education. Check presentations will take place at each intern’s worksite and press is invited to capture photos and/or interviews with participants, CTE Foundation staff or employer partners.
